Club Mom

Having a baby this day and age is no walk in the park. There are so many aspects to consider when making important decisions regarding expecting mother’s healthcare choices.  The first questions for a family expecting a new baby include, “who will our doctor be, where will the baby be born, and what kind of changes are in store for mom in the up and coming months?”

Claremore Regional Hospital’s Club Mom program is specifically designed to answer most inquiries that expectant mothers may have.  Club Mom is a free program offered to all expecting mom’s that plan to deliver at Claremore Regional Hospital.  The program provides monthly newsletters that are intended to educate and familiarize the new mom-to-be about proper nutrition, exercise, and helpful tips for overall baby care.  The expectant mom will also receive a lullaby CD with soothing sounds to help baby sleep, information on baby’s first pictures at Claremore Regional Hospital, and a surprise gift when the baby is born.

Rhonda and Jeff Howell were very excited to learn they were expecting a new addition to their growing family.  The couple chose, Gregoire Barrette M.D., as their obstetrician early in Rhonda’s pregnancy, because of the excellent care he provides in the comfort of their hometown.  Another important decision the couple made in the early stages was where they wanted their baby to be born and they chose to be close to home at Claremore Regional Hospital.  The Howell’s reside in Claremore with their two children. Rhonda is employed at The Hair Place and her husband, Jeff, is the Branch Manager at IBC bank.

“I had first learned about Club Mom from the brochures at my doctors office,” said Rhonda, “I then filled out the form on the back of the brochure and mailed it in.  It was that easy.  Soon, a welcome package came in the mail full of information and other gifts.”

Club Mom newsletters provide the family with helpful insight about pregnancy, as well as, helpful tips for when the baby is born.  Everything from possible health risks for mom to giving the baby her first bath, this newsletter talks about issues that matter.

Rhonda said, “By being a Club Mom member, I am able to learn valuable information about different changes that the baby and I are going through each month.”
